Summer Fun Ride and BBQ in aid of Spinal Research
BEDE Events ran its inaugural summer fun ride on Saturday 15th July, its was overwhelmingly popular and extremely well received by both riders and people following on foot. We decided that we would use this event as a opportunity to raise money for Spinal Research to add to the £500 raised over the winter series. We also had an end of ride BBQ with all the meat donated from Gonalston Farm Shop and the rolls from Bloomsbury Bakery meaning all the proceeds went directly to the charity. As an incentive for people to raise money Burghley Horse Trials gave a pair of cross country tickets which sparked just giving race to raise the most!
We are over the moon to announce that we raised £2107.46 on top of the £500 already raised!!

At least it keeps us all on our toes and wondering what the next weekend will bring. It is almost impossible to plan with any confidence, I feel sorry for organisers as they try to second guess the weather as they try to prepare the ground. Continue reading…
Bede Events is to take over the running of the Firle Place International Horse Trials and Country Fair. After 15 years at the helm organising the popular event, organiser Jo Carr has stepped down and handed over the reins to Bede Events.
