I cannot believe that we are now into May and still not had any rain to speak of. As I write this on Badminton cross country morning it is a bonus for them as I am sure numbers of visitors will soar. How interesting to see the leader board after dressage. The new team at the helm of the sport has their work cut out as we head toward the Europeans, I know that it is just day one, but not to have a Brit featured in the top 17 is quite a shock. Chris and Dickie have barely had time to get their feet under the table, and certainly no time to start to effect and see changes and developments, I am sure the next few months will see chance as they start to implement progress. Bede Events is to take over the running of the Firle Place International Horse Trials and Country Fair. After 15 years at the helm organising the popular event, organiser Jo Carr has stepped down and handed over the reins to Bede Events.
The SRS Live Scoring system works alongside the Official Scorer to provide real-time scores to on-site electronic scoreboards and via the web for anyone at the event or unable to attend on the day (Owners, parents, partners or staff back at the yard.) This Years winter Series is now over! Both the dressage and show jumping have been hugely successful and we can not wait to see you all again in November, which will be here before we know it! This year we have had Lighrays Photography taking photos at all the events make sure you check out the photos, also we cannot run these competitions with out the help from our lovely volunteers and judges, also a HUGE thanks to Brackenhurst for providing the great venue.
This year we have been donating £1 from every Winter Series entry to Spinal Research, by doing so we have raised over £500, so thank you all so much!
