Officials

OFFICIALS & VOLUNTEERS

At BEDE Events we’re keen to welcome everyone to our events as volunteers and officials.  Whether you’re an amateur rider looking to learn more, or to give back to the sport you love, or whether you’re just a passionate supporter of eventing.  We’d love to hear from you and welcome you with open arms to our Volunteer family.

There are many benefits that come with being a BEDE Events volunteer. We run three activities a year exclusively for our volunteers, with previous activities including yard visits with world-class riders and a tour around the Remount Army depot which houses Kings Troop and Household Cavalry horses. We also have a volunteers-only party, and offer exclusive opportunities for our volunteers. This year we are delighted to open a shop for our volunteers with BEDE branded clothing, accessories and even a dog coat!! Please use the link below and use the Password IAMVALUED to access the shop.

Eventing is a unique sport which we’re extremely passionate about. We’re privileged to host our events at some of the most beautiful sites in the country, and to welcome top quality eventers. To get involved, and join us in bringing our fantastic sport to life, please email anna@bedeltd.co.uk or call 01949 829061.

Volunteer Activities

Volunteer Training

If you’re interested in finding out about the many volunteering roles within eventing, and giving back to the sport we all love, please do get in touch and join us for the day.

The training day will be on Sunday 25th February 2024 at Oxton Village Hall, Southwell NG25 0SA, and will include refreshments and a light lunch.

Please contact office@bedeltd.co.uk to join us.

Police Horse Visit

Volunteers were offered a tour round the South Yorkshire police Ring Farm to see the police horses behind the scenes. During the day we saw them do a couple of training drills and took a closer look around the stables.

Bennington Carriages

Volunteers went for a factory tour at Bennington to see how they make the carriages. We saw all the different steps that take place to get a piece of metal to become the final product.

BEDE Events 2024

We are looking forward to a busy 2024, with the addition of Osberton International 1 (3rd – 5th May), alongside taking over the running of Solihull’s British Eventing dates. The Portal is live for you to add in your availability. We are always working on improving the system so please let us know if you have any suggestions or questions. Anna is working on deployments for Oasby & Thoresby, which should be available soon.

Camping is available to book for Thoresby this year, please use the ticket booking system (found at the top of the page), and use the code VOL10024 when you choose the camping option.
