Press & Media at BEDE Events

At BEDE Events we recognise the ever-changing landscape of the media.  With declining numbers of journalists and publications attending and a substantial increase in demand for those attending as content creators, for brands and competing athletes.

We are therefore updating our Media Policy in line with changing demands.

Working members of the media are welcome at all BEDE Events.  Passes will only be required at The Eventing Spring Carnival and Osberton, however we do ask that photographers/videographers submit their request to attend for ALL applicable fixtures.

Accreditation requests must be submitted via the online form and must be received at least 2-weeks in advance of the fixture.  Required passes will be sent the week of the event via e-mail.

For Press & Media queries please contact office@equiconsulting.co.uk

Event Press & Media Policy

Media Rights

All media rights (photography, videography, and broadcast) are retained by BEDE Events Ltd for all event organised and managed by the BEDE team.

Only officially appointed event photographers and videographers are permitted to sell images and video content within 3-months of the competition date.  This includes selling images or video to competitors and associated brands. Selling images to verified media outlets is permitted, but only by accredited members of the media. NB: This rule has been as such for the past decade.  This is not a new addition.

Journalists & Publication Photographers

There will be a media centre available at The Eventing Spring Carnival, that is open for your use on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with WiFi and refreshments.

All Members of the Media

All members of the Media should apply for press accreditation to the Event Organiser’s media manager.  Anyone attending without accreditation will be asked to leave site.

All members of the media must carry full and valid Public Liability and Third-Party Liability insurance, and by accepting these conditions indemnify the owners/managers of the estate and the Horse Trials against the costs, claims and other expenses that they may incur from any third party.

Evidence of such insurances must be submitted to the event media manager in advance of attending.

Any contravention of this policy will lead to the cancellation of your accreditation for this and all future events.  The individual will be asked to leave site and a fine may be imposed.

All accredited media must always comply with the requests and instructions of the event organisers and stewards.

Application for accreditation indicates acceptance of the above conditions.
