BEDE Events Volunteer horse
BEDE Events Volunteer Horse
We are excited to be launching our BEDE Volunteers Horse in 2026. We have two great options of horses for the first year. Below you will find a small bio on each rider and horse (will be coming soon).
This is just available for BEDE Events volunteers.
It will be a single yearly cost of £60, which will go towards the running costs of the horse. This does not include any ownership of the horse, but purely the ability to get a more behind the scenes access to the running of a grass roots horse.
We will be working with a professional event rider, to bring to you a grassroots horse, which will be aimed to many BEDE Events throughout the year to enable to you follow it as easily as possible. There are currently two options of riders we are looking at, either Lizzie Baugh or Heidi Coy.
There are many benefits to joining this, some of which we have listed below:
– Supporting of a local grass roots horse with a professional rider
– Monthly updates from the rider about their plans and horses
– Yard visit during the year
– Behind the scenes updates and access
– Whatsapp community (just for members) for updates, asking questions
– Involvement in the horses journey throughout the year
If you would like to get involved, please use the link below to register, alternatively please email georgie@bedeltd.co.uk
Upton Dezza (Dessy)
He is a rising 6yo, Heidi has had him since a 3yo, but he is a big horse, so she has taken her time to develop him slowly. 2026 will be his first year eventing, having been out to some training shows in 2025. The aim for the year is to get him competing at 90, then step up to 100 and maybe aim for a Novice at the end of the year (if all goes well!). He is well bred and got lots of jump! He is a sensitive character but hoefully a very talented one!
Sire: Dakar VDL (KWPN)
Dam: Wheretogo (KWPN)
Vancouver (Charlie)
Charlie is a rising 6yo by Vivant Van de Heffinck out of a Cavalier Royale Dam. He has done a handful of Hunter Trials, training shows and unaffiliated events. He was 3rd in the GOBE90 class at Oasby (3) in 2025. Lizzie has owned him since a 4yo. He will aim to consolidate his BE90 confidence before moving up to BE100 throughout the year. The aim to do a Novice on him by the end of the year if all goes well!
Sire: Vivant Van de Heffinck
Dam: Cavalier Royal Mare
